🎯 What Makes a Fundraiser Succeed? Engaged Participants Make All the Difference!

We’ve seen it over and over — the fundraisers that really succeed are the ones where participants are excited, involved, and personally invested.

Whether it's raising money for a class trip or helping cover tournament costs, participation isn’t just a checkbox, it’s the heartbeat of a successful campaign.

And as the coach or teacher leading the charge, your role in sparking that energy makes all the difference!

Here’s what we’ve learned:

💬 Get them talking: When students or team members share the fundraiser with friends and family, donations jump. Our Calling Script might be a good starting point! And of course, a text or social media post goes a long way too!

🏆 Friendly competition works: Keep energy high with weekly leaderboards, shoutouts or small prizes. Challenges like “most shares this week” are a great way to boost engagement and excitement.

🎯 Make goals visible: Make use of Omella’s progress tracker so participants can see how close they are to hitting a team goal. It’s a powerful motivator.

🚀 Remind, celebrate, repeat: Participation grows when organizers send encouraging updates and celebrate every milestone, big or small.

In a nutshell, a little encouragement from the coach or teacher can go a long way in keeping participants engaged and fundraising momentum strong!
