Omella’s Student Data Privacy Agreement (DPA)

Omella takes student data privacy seriously. To make it easy for schools and districts to work with us, we’ve already executed the SDPC National Data Privacy Agreement (NDPA) with Burlington School District (Vermont).

Because the NDPA is a standardized, multi-state framework, districts in certain states can “piggyback” on our existing agreement instead of negotiating a new DPA from scratch.

Covered States

Districts in the following states can join our existing DPA:

  • Massachusetts
  • Maine
  • Illinois
  • Iowa
  • Missouri
  • Nebraska
  • New Hampshire
  • New Jersey
  • New York
  • Ohio
  • Rhode Island
  • Tennessee
  • Vermont
  • Virginia

How to Join Omella’s Existing NDPA

If your school district is participating in the A4L SDPC Resource Registry

  • Log into https://privacy.a4l.org to search for Omella’s signed NDPA. Once located, you can “piggyback” by signing exhibit E.

If your district does not participate

✅ Once completed, your district will be bound by the same privacy protections in our Burlington agreement.

If you need help, you can reach us at help@omella.com
